MY WISH
By Lian Brook-Tyler
For those who…
believe they haven’t done enough.
know they’ve done too much (and are now paying the price.)
are alone.
wish they were alone.
For those whose childhood taught them to be…
the Pleasing One.
the Stoic One.
the Helpless One.
the Hardworking One.
the Strong One.
the One without needs.
Whoever you are, whatever you’ve done, whatever you haven’t done, whatever is still to be done… I wish you that you will allow yourself to feel what you really feel, and to create a life with you - the deepest, wildest you - at the centre of it, a true life, the life that’s uniquely right for you.
It begins with choosing to notice when you’re abandoning yourself, making yourself wrong, denying your needs, using shame to control yourself, or selling your soul… and learning to love and accept yourself unconditionally instead.
It’s a choice that’s never too late to make.
It’s a choice you’ll need to make every day - sometimes a thousand times.
It may take a lifetime.
It may ask everything of you.
My wish is for you to know it’s a choice that’s worth making anyway… because you’re worth nothing less.
All my love.
