Symbols, myths, magic, and how healing actually happens đź’«
By Lian Brook-Tyler
I was with a client this morning supporting her with integrating a deep, difficult plant medicine journey.
I drew a tarot card for her which mirrored symbols that had both shown up in her journey and in a message she’d received when visiting her special tree a few days before.
I mentioned that the fairytale of “The Princess and the Frog” was brought to mind - which had also showed up in her shamanic healing last summer.
She said “Oh, I wrote down before this session to ask you about that fairytale!”
So six months after the healing… the power and intention contained within the archetypes of the fairytale are continuing to energise the reclaimed soul part that’s becoming ready to take its full and rightful place in her life.
This is how healing really works, it’s a weave of many strands, revealed and reclaimed in their own time, via symbols that are shown by teacher plants, special trees, shamanic journeys, dreams, myths, and fairytales.
We don’t need to try to force or control it, we need only pay attention to where we’re being called, honour that, and allow the magic to unfold.
For some of us that’s the hardest thing of all, so conditioned we are to have a white knuckled grip on our lives, our healing, our growth, the world - but if I’ve learned anything from witnessing utter miracles take place in many people’s lives over many years - it’s the greatest blessing and maybe even our human birthright to let go and allow ourselves to be divinely held and guided back to wholeness.
Let the magic do its work.
All my love,
Lian
