THE INITIATION

We waited for the millennium,
the apocalypse,
the great reckoning,
and didn’t recognise it
when it came.

We talk of vibrations,
5d and codes,
and alien transmissions,
but miss the message
when it comes.

We take the medicine,
go into trance,
do the shamanic dance,
and still our shame
goes on and on.

We spiral into the mud,
into the blood,
into our souls,
and sell them
one by one.

We meditate,
fasting on fruit or light
preaching that we are all one,
whilst feeling
all alone.

But we didn’t get it wrong.
The fear
was the preparation.
The blind faith,
the initiation.
