The Rose is back
By Lian Brook-Tyler
I cried seeing this rose this morning… talk about death and rebirth (as I did in my last post).
This rose had to be uprooted when the old summer house came down in April.
The builder saw how upset I was (although I have more roses than anyone I know, every one of them is sacred to me) and so he carefully dug around the roots and replanted it himself in the border (bless him)… but the rose had been there for almost 10 years and it was on a baking hot day, and so the chances it would survive were low. My gardener wasn’t hopeful when he saw it.
A month ago it looked very sad and I had to cut off almost all of its branches which had turned brown and dry.
I prayed and made offerings.
This morning I was walking down the garden path and from the corner of my eye I espied a colour that hadn’t been there before… it was this rose!
It has returned from the dead.
Not only that, it’s also the most popular flower around… it certainly brings all the boys to the yard! Four hover flies were moving back and forth to this bloom, with a bumble bee and other insects elsewhere on the bush.
I welcome back the Rose - the guide who has been with me the longest, my initiatrix and teacher (and co-teacher of other women) into the reclamation of the Feminine, and the North Star of my soul - She is showing me the way again.
