How to free your inner child from shame

Joshua FalconCrest is a filmmaker, author, speaker, and creator of The Quantum Theater – an intuitively guided role-playing experience designed to escort people through their own personal “movie scenes” – the very situations they need to experience in order to release the past and to reclaim their personal power. He has helped hundreds of people through 1 on 1 Personal Theater Experiences, in groups, and in guided meditation recordings.

This work has been highly tuned to resolve trauma in a very short amount of time, freeing the nervous system of shame by completing internal stories. Joshua also enjoys sharing stand up comedy (and singing).

In this week’s show, Joshua and I explored the topic of relating to our inner child as the same as relating to our bodies. The power of opening the pockets of shame created by trauma and how we can enter into this work in a deeply nurturing and impactful way.

I’d love to know what YOU think about this week’s show. Let’s carry on the conversation… please leave a comment below.

What you’ll learn from this episode:

  • We can hold the premise that our body equates to our inner child because shame is trapped in the body, our more specifically our nervous system, by trauma that we experienced as very young children. Opening these pockets of shame allows us to release our power that’s been held there.

  • Joshua’s seen that men tend to be more identified with their minds, whereas women vice versa. The work to open our pockets of shame is most effective when we can create safety in the mind and body and the courage to make changes.

  • I loved Joshua’s suggestion of speaking to our bodies with a sense of tender parenting, including using terms of endearment. This is a practice I’ve adopted personally and whilst its too soon to say I’ve seen changes, I can say that it feel like a very wise and loving thing to do.
