Spirit, The Work and being our Medicine
Jonathan and I did not begin the year intending to create Wild Sovereign… we had other plans … and then suddenly a couple of months ago, it became clear what we were meant to do, so we shelved our plans, and did what Spirit asked.
28 beautiful humans have joined us for Wild Sovereign… Many have journeyed with us off and on for many years, some are new to the Way of Waking The Wild so it’s been both a reunion and a meeting of souls.
We went deep, unexpectedly so, in the first circle on Tuesday - it was a call to Jonathan and I to serve our Medicine in a different way to how we have before.
Although Jonathan and I began with serving large groups back in 2014 with Happy School and Thrive (who remembers those days? ), since then the work we do has evolved and we’ve intentionally not worked with large groups, with one exception - the circle of 30 women in Unravelling The Body in 2020. Otherwise our crucibles have been much smaller, with Wild Medicine being the largest, at 11 people (though it always feels both smaller as it’s so incredibly intimate, and yet, simultaneously bigger as it’s so magically powerful!)
Wild Sovereign feels like going back to our roots… stripping naked, standing bare feet on the Great Mother, and growing towards our North Star in a new way.
We don’t foresee running it live again though… We’ll create Wild Sovereign in a way that people can join at any time - it’s such vital work that it’s clear that’s needed, now more than ever, along with our new foundational crucible Wild Soul, coming soon.
Spirit continues to show us what’s needed, how we’re meant to serve our Medicine, and we do the work to heal what’s in the way of us submitting to that.
It’s not easy, it’s not glamorous, it entails a lot of sitting in the mud and sobbing on trees (that’s just me, Jonathan does the same but in the sea, and swearing) but it’s the path with heart that we choose over and over.
