Underworldly

by Lian Brook-Tyler

My daughter, Princess of Questions, asked us over lunch “What skill do you wish you’d learned earlier in life?”

My reply was “Understanding how to work with dreams.”

But really, I meant how to work with and honour the symbols that so are often pearls cast unseen, but once their iridescence is glimpsed in the swill, can illuminate the way to a soul’s path to Spirit.

This morning, we rose in Turkey, sun-blessed place of megalithic mysteries and Ottoman odysseys, and one of the first things I see is pomegranates… Eros-plumped rubies in a basket of rose silk and bird bone.

You can take the girl out of The Rose Quest (for a week’s pause) but you can’t take The Rose Quest out of the girl.

Down, down, down I go… ♥️
