What would your childhood self be happy to know?
Although much inner child work understandably focuses on the wounding of the child, the deeper our relationship with our little one becomes, the more their joy, play, curiosity, and creativity sparkles through our lives once again.
Alongside each Mythical Quest in UNIO, I’ve also begun providing a related Star Quest - involving astrology, often interwoven with Kabbalah - which our celestially-minded members love!
But it’s not only them… As this month’s quest is the Inner Child Quest, I’m noticing that little Li is jumping for joy seeing the ever deepening magical, mystical, mythical way my work unfolds (though I don’t think she would call it work!)
There’s many other things my childhood self would be delighted by (honourable mention to “Oh my gosh… We have THREE dogs?!”) but I know my work is the one that would most amaze and thrill her… Dreamy-eyed, open-hearted, wild-minded girl that she was.
Last month’s quest was the Ancestral Quest, and I’m also present to the fact my father would likely be just as happy to see the way our years saturated with the magic of Stonehenge and Glastonbury, communal living, living wild on the crystal lands of Ibiza, tarot cards for wallpaper (when we had walls), and the ubiquitous Mists of Avalon-like cannab1s smoke weaving through our home (when we had a home), shaped his daughter into a woman who looked the world through a rose-tinted kaleidoscope, seeing the jewel-hued possibilities of the most unlikely things being brought together in alchemy and unity.
And what about you… What would your inner child feel delighted about witnessing your life now? Or maybe… What long abandoned love are they asking you to turn your attention back towards?
