It’s never too late. And yet…

by Lian Brook-Tyler

“I’ve been thinking and talking a lot lately about death, ancestors and fathers... The grief and the gifts. I was fortunate in so many ways, and in some ways I’m only really seeing now, 9 years after we lost him.”

“My mother, Sandy. I’m remembering my ancestors and re-membering myself. It’s sometimes better sooner but it’s never too late.”

I wrote these posts years ago on this day (and years apart), shared along with these photos… My mother and my father.

Just as we’re in an Ancestral Quest in UNIO, our Soul Academy… A quest of remembrance, healing, and connection with our ancestors.

Synchronicity synchronicitying like it does.

It’s never too late to reclaim our lineage and heritage - it will wait years, decades, or even eons if we’re especially slow and dense (ask me how I know).

But, we don’t know how long we’ll have until our parents become ancestors, I never anticipated losing both of them within four years of each other, suddenly and dramatically.

If we knew…

Maybe we would sit with them, soaking up every detail.

Share every memory.

Tell them the things we will only realise after it’s too late that we didn’t tell them and now we can’t.

Maybe we would talk more, hug more, forgive more, apologise more, love more.

So, if you can, do those things now.

(But if you can’t… Truly it’s never too late, and so still, do it now).

♥️
